Dhaka: Actress Bangladesh Raima Islam Shimu, who was reported missing a few days ago, was found dead on the outskirts of Dhaka, police said. His body was found in a sack near the Hazratpur Bridge in Keraniganj on Monday.
Shimu’s relatives have filed complaints at the Kalabagan police station on Sunday after he disappeared. After being told by the locals, the police team from the Keraniganj model station restored the body.
A top police official said that the body was sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital (SSMCH) for autopsy, added that the investigation was underway.
The 45-year-old actress made its debut with the film ‘Bartaman’ in 1998. Since then he works as many as 25 films.
He is a member of the Association of the Bangladeshi Film Artist Association. Apart from film, he also works in TV drama and is produced too.
