Moscow: Russian direct investment funds today inform that the Sputnik Light Covid-19 vaccine is likely to be launched in India in December this year.
Overcoming a Press Conference, Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev said, “We hope for the launch of Sputnik Light in India in December and we work very well with the Indian Institute.”
“We have serum institutes as our production partners in India, and we believe that Sputnik Light will play a big role in Indian vaccination campaigns,” he added.
Previously on that day, Sputnik V told that the Ministry of Russian health will register sputnik vaccines for children aged 12-17, with shooting expected to be available at the end of December.
“The Ministry of Russian health will register a sputnik vaccine for children aged 12-17 today. Sputnik M vaccine for children will be a welcome member in a sputnik family both in Russia and in the global market,” said Sputnik V in a tweet.
This happens when Russia has grappled with a surge in coronavirus infection and related deaths in recent weeks.
The country has registered 33,558 new Covid-19 cases confirmed for the last 24 hours, the lowest number since October 16, with a total infection reached 9,434,393 cases, according to the center of the anti-Coronavirus crisis center published today.
In addition, India reported 9,283 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. With this, the active case of infection in this country stands at 1,11,481, which is the lowest in 537 days.
