What does this mean for the future of one piece on our Netflix?

With the Live-Action One Piece series in development on Netflix, it is safe to say that streaming services already have a useful relationship with Eiichiro Oda and, Toei’s animation. However, the license holder for the distribution of anime one piece in North America is FUNIMATION. This means that for Netflix to get more episodes one piece they need to discuss the license agreement with one of their top anime competitors.

Netflix We may not be able to obtain an agreement to receive 1000 episodes such as Japan, we can certainly see the addition of sky islands, water 7, thriller leather films, and Said Summit. It will still be in the form of hundreds of episodes behind the current anime place, but the addition of hundreds of episodes will be fantastic for the Netflix library and for one-piece fans.

What about the whole world?

Depending on where you live in the world, different licenses will be responsible for every continent / country. In the UK, the license belongs to Manga Entertainment, and in Australia, the license is held by Madman Entertainment. This means that Netflix must negotiate with each license holder individually to bring each one-piece episode to each netflix library.
