Turkey’s ‘National Combat Aircraft’ Debuts At UK Airshow Along With Attack Chopper, Combat UAVs

The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA), which took place in the UK from July 18 to July 22, is expected to attract top innovators from the aerospace, flight and defense sectors. This event is also a place for business offers worth billions of dollars.

Turkey hopes to get the greatest benefit from this event by displaying some of its best aircraft to bring international sales to its aerospace and domestic defense industry.

National Combat Aircraft (MMU), Turkish Landmark National Fighter Jet, debuted at the exhibition. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) also exhibited the MMU simulator in England, according to The Daily Sabah.

TFX is the fifth generation aircraft that looks rather identical to the American F-35 Lightning II. The original Parlan will eventually replace Jet F-16, which is expected to be deleted in the 2030s.

Ankara had previously launched a TF-X/MMU full-scale mock-up at Singapore Air Show in 2022. This is the first time Tai showed off the MMU model in Asia.

Previously, the full size mock-up of the TF-X was displayed at the 2019 Paris Air Show. At that time, Turkey had not been removed from the F-35 program by Washington.

As part of the Expo, Tai also held a show with Tak129 tactical surveillance and attack helicopter (ATAK) and air aircraft near Hürkuş and training planes.

Atak is a twin-engine tactical surveillance, tandem-seat and attacking helicopters that can operate in all weather conditions. The company also features the T625 Gökbey, a Multi-role helicopter original Turkey.

Unmanned combat air vehicles in the country, Aksungur and Anka, were also present at the event. TAI GENERAL manager Semel Kotil said that participating in Farnborough this year was “more meaningful” than in previous years.

Farnborough Air Show 2022

The Farnborough Air Show was first held at Farnborough Airport in 1948 and has developed into one of the largest aerospace exhibitions. The event finally took place this year for the first time since the plague of Coronavirus.

Visitors can enjoy exhibitions from the aviation industry, including aerospace, defense, and sustainability. Every day will display the appearance of static soil and air appearance.

The 2018 show featured 96 countries, and orders and commitments of $ 192 billion were announced. Around 1,500 exhibitors are expected to participate this year, representing various products and services from every level and industrial sector.

So far, it is said that there are a total of 69 aircraft, static, and mock-up for this year’s performance. These include Boeing’s 777X, 737-10, E190 Embraer technology sharks, Voltaero Cassio, and Cranfield SAAB 340 Flying Lab, among those who make their Farnborough debut.

The Black Eagles Team of South Korea’s Black Eagles, which will make a daily appearance, is the peak of the flying display segment. There are also flypasts from RAF Red Arrows, Aerobatic Blades teams, historic Army flights, and Walkers Wing AerosuperBatics.

Other aircraft such as F-35, P-8, and Typhoon Eurofighter will also participate in the event.

Black Eagles performs a 25 -minute performance every day this year’s competition, carrying out difficult air action such as the Baji roll and the order of taeguk, where their jet draws the shape of the Korean flag.

The commercial aerospace industry also participates in this exhibition. Flight demand has skyrocketed this year, airport traffic jams, especially in Europe, because most of the COVID-19 travel restrictions have been revoked in the West.

Airlines has rushed to restore the personnel they shot during Pandemi. They will also buy a jet after canceling or delaying many orders over the past two years.

Boeing attended Farnborough despite a lot of difficulties, including the ongoing regulatory issue with 737 Max -Max aircraft. This model is the best -selling book at the last Farnborough event, but after a fatal accident in 2018 and 2019, it was based for almost two years.

Also, the sale of the Max model has failed from its rival Airbus A320. The new Chinese airline gives airbus large -order airbus for 298 aircraft. Airbus has increased the production of the entire A320 family and has obtained a market share thanks to A321Neo, its most prominent model.

However, when travel demand increased after the worst pandemic, Airbus and Boeing had difficulty meeting the demand for airlines for new aircraft that were fuel efficient due to supply chain problems.

During the Expo, aircraft manufacturers intended to highlight their latest products and technological innovations while announcing agreements for passengers, cargo and new military aircraft.
