A video has appeared on Reddit which claims to show an accident at a steel factory in Germany. The accident occurred after one of the containers in the factory broke causing liquid steel to spill on the ground. The clip will definitely remind you of the scene of the 1991 film terminator: The Judgment Day as shows the sparks of flying. Liquid steel spread on the ground but workers are seen calmly away – something that surprises users of social media platforms.
The video begins with the sound of Sirene, maybe warning staff about some damage. The workers standing around the container wearing helmets, safety glasses, jackets and gloves began to move calmly.
When the video took place, sparks were seen spreading in more steel factory parts and the workers went further. The only victim is a bicycle.
“They are much calmer than they should,” said the user who posted the clip. “They relax, like this is something that happens every Tuesday,” said another.
“Should we IDK, reserves to a safe distance? Now we are fine here. The area starts to get a liquid steel wave second after they move,” one user commented.
Steel factory is an industrial factory where iron ore is processed into steel. This plant is located close to a large river or an inner sea port, which usually receives coal and iron ore (oxide, both hematite or magnetite) by ship.
In modern factory, steel is produced in two stages. In the first stage, iron ore is reduced (the process is called smelting) in a furnace explosion with coke and limestone. The result is pig iron. The part that is not used for pork iron is done as liquid iron. Dirt is removed, and alloy elements such as manganese, nickel, chromium and vanadium are added to produce the right steel needed.
