Carmaker Luxury Sports Super Italia Lamborghini on Thursday launched the Huracán Sto model, which was inspired by his racing car, in India at a price of Rs 4.99 Crore (ex-showroom) in the hope of selling more than ten units this year.
The Huracán Sto – Super Trofeo Omologata is a super homologian sports car inspired by Racing Heritage of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s Huracán Super Trofeo Evo Race Series.
This car is powered by the HP 640 engine sucked naturally, which can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 3 seconds, 0-200 km / h in 9 seconds and a top speed of 310 km / hr.
Lamborghini said Huracán Sto uses carbon fiber in more than 75 percent of its exterior panel with complex structures produced as a single component for increasing temporary integrity also reduces fewer weight.
It has a dry weight of 1,339 kg, which is less than 43 kg compared to Huracán Performante, another model of the Huracán series.
“This is a very unique car. Yes, there is a segment in India for this model … We see more opportunities that will find customers, where they can take a car to track and enjoy it on the environmental track,” Lamborghini India Head Sharad Agarwal gave Know PTI.
Stating that Huracán Sto is not only for tracks but customers can also drive and experience it on the road, he added, “This is a product for this customer segment and we anticipate that we must bring more than two digit numbers to the country.”
Bullish in the segment, Agarwal said there were trends that developed in India where more people took their supercars to the racing line in Delhi and Chennai and enjoyed these cars in the track environment.
“We see that there are programs carried out by original equipment manufacturers (OEM). There are several private clubs that regulate these programs. We also see that there are smaller customer groups – three to four, set up on them having, hiring tracks This track and experienced these cars, “he said.
In addition, there is a new track that appears in various parts of India where the car customers can have trajectories.
“It does provide an opportunity for people to go and experience these cars in extreme conditions,” Agarwal said.
Lamborghini said Huracán Sto was also equipped with an increase in wheel tracks, more rigid suspension bushings and certain anti-roll bars to get a racing car experience while providing a comfortable road experience.
