Mercedes-Benz India has already “exhausted” all the annual allocation of its new Ultra-Luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) said Maybach GLS 600 4Matic in the country, said the CEO Martin Schwenk.
The automaker has sold 50 units sold even before the official launch in India and deliveries will begin in the coming weeks, Schwenk said to reporters at the launch of the vehicle on June 8.
The SUV comes with a pronounced price tag of RS 2.43 Crore, but has seen “strong interest” despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We saw a very strong interest in the car. We sold more than 500 units of the S-Maybach over the years in India. So, there is a strong traction for the Maybach rank,” Schwenk said.
He told PTI, the next assignments are being configurated and the deliveries of it will begin in the first quarter of 2022.
