Ukrainian Russian Crisis: Russia has mobilized 100,000 soldiers along the Ukrainian border, along with tanks, fighting vehicles, artillery and missiles. The West is afraid that this can cause war and have launched intense diplomatic efforts to convince the Kremlin.
The United States has warned its citizens not to travel to Russia after tensions on the border with Ukraine. Russia has collected 100,000 soldiers near the Ukrainian border, a step that the US-led countries said was the introduction of the war.
“Don’t travel to Russia because of the ongoing tensions along the border with Ukraine,” said a statement from the US State Department, added that Americans could also face “harassment” and that the embassy would have “limited abilities to help us.”
American diplomat families in the capital of Ukraine Kyiv have been ordered to leave the country “because of the continuation of the threat of Russian invasion”.
Along with troops, Russia has also used tanks, fighting, artillery and missiles on its borders with Ukraine.
Intense diplomatic efforts have been launched to convince Russia to reduce aggressive posture but they have produced little results.
The Kremlin has so far denied the intention to attack its neighbors – but made a conditional de-escalation of the agreement that guarantees NATO’s non-expansion, especially to Ukraine, and the withdrawal of alliances from Eastern Europe.
On Sunday, US Secretary Antony Blinken rejected the idea of slapping sanctions on Moscow before the potential invasion, said they had to be used as a means of attack “persuading”.
However, British Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab warns Russia “heavy consequences” if trying to attack Ukraine or put a doll regime there.
The minister made charges when talking to Sky News on Saturday, also said that Russian intelligence officers had contacted a number of former Ukrainian politicians as part of a plan for invasion.
The New York Times said that US President Joe Biden was pondering plans to send 1,000 to 5,000 troops to Eastern European countries, with the possibility of increasing the number further.
The United States has illustrated the alleged plot in Ukraine as very alarming, and US officials said they were preparing for Russian actions.
