Video: 16-Foot Fish Caught. It Has A Connection With Earthquakes

A group of fishermen recently rolled out an extraordinary 16-foot monster in Chile and a video of creatures raised by Derek has appeared online.
The clip showed a long and reinforced fish captivated on the head when the workers moved it to the ground. According to the Daily Star, fish, identified as Oarfish, were measured more than five meters (16 feet).

The video has been shared on several social media platforms but was first posted on Tiktok where it was reported to have collected nearly 10 million appearances. The post raises concerns among those as creatures that are traditionally seen as a bad sign for tsunamis and earthquakes.

“It’s a scary fish,” wrote one user, while the other explains the concern: “Oarfish lives in the depth. It is said that when they start to the surface because the tectonic plates move. “

Internet users believe that the closeness of the creature to the beach indicates an underwater water earthquake that will occur.

According to the outlet, this trust is rooted in the legend that Oarfish is a sign of an earthquake and tsunami. This theory was never confirmed by science but local authorities must now consider what brings fish to the surface.

Oarfish can reach a length of up to 11 meters. They usually live in deep water and only return to the surface when they are sick, dying or breeding.

Meanwhile, seeing this fish is rare. Back in April, an oarfish was found on the beach in New Zealand, where he was seen by local beach visitors.
