India’s COVID-19 case tally is above 3.27 crore with 30,941 new cases reported, as per the health ministry’s August 31 update. New cases below the 40,000 mark after five days.

The total recoveries in India now stand over 3.19 crore with the recovery rate at 97.5 percent. Kerala recorded the foremost 22,563 new recoveries, followed by Maharashtra (4,696), Tamil Nadu (1,739), Karnataka (1,324) and Andhra Pradesh (1,182).

Total COVID-19 deaths in India now stand at 4,38,560 as per the August 31 update. The deathrate is now at 1.3 percent with Punjab reporting the very best (2.7 percent). Over 13 lakh daily tests were reported on August 30 with quite 52.15 crore tests administered so far .
